How it all began......
My Love of baking came from one of the most stressful times in my life.
I used to work in a very high powered pharmaceutical career which led me to suffer with anxiety it was during one of my periods of sickness that I rediscovered my love of baking I found that whilst I was focusing fully on what I was doing in the kitchen I was no longer crippled by those intense pains in my chest.
From that moment I knew something had to change so I left my job and concentrated on creating new recipes and brushing up on my cake decorating skills
Since then I have spent 10 years refining my skill set, keeping up with new techniques and embracing my romantic style. I love creating sugarcraft flowers and working with chocolate on wedding cakes and I also love designing 3d cakes.
I have worked as hard on the flavour of my cakes as I have the design and love to create new combinations that are as romantic and cutting edge as my design style this is why i have paired flavours like Strawberries and champagne, white chocolate and Raspberry and lime and coconut. The jams and curds that fill my cakes are all homemade by me and I have spent many an hour getting the flavour combinations just right! so be sure to check out the menu
To anyone who suffers with anxiety my advice would be to find something that you love whatever that maybe and immerse yourself in it till everything else that is weighing you down disappears. In cake designing I have truly found that. Its an amazing feeling getting to do something everyday that you love and when I step back and look at something that I have put my heart and soul into creating I feel like I have truly accomplished something amazing!
